Always A Safe Space

This is how it feels to know what to do, doing it while thinking it is the wrong move. But you just do it anyway because, I mean, trust your instincts.

I knew I needed to steam off. To let certain things go including movies that had been on my system for close to a year (um, this is no longer about steaming off, it’s actually a storage issue btw). I just needed more space. And while I do not want to make this post about me, but rather about everything that has been happening to me, I feel the need to give space. It is more of making room for the things that matter and letting go of what does not.

I just want one thing. To be focused on my goals and on whatever task I set my mind to work on. Two unrelated sentences; Like listening to my own voice when I am in a crowd and working hard towards achieving my goals. It’s just a big shark swallowing little fishes (don’t be distracted). lol

And while I am trying to, they say we carry the things that we love where ever we go, so even while trying to let certain things go, I am constantly reminded through subtle coincidences, mistakes, and lessons that they have happened before. I am referring to lessons, corrections from work, waking up late, putting the noodles in before the water boils, and a whole lot of shebang.

This year seems quite different with respect to the pressure or energy that comes with the first month of the year. Learning to be kinder to me has made me admire people who are kind. It is so beautiful to see and has never been more essential in our world today than it is now.

Everything good will come

This subheading is the title of one of my favorite books by Sefi Atta and it is a common saying. Also, emphasis on hard work and going for what I want cannot be overemphasized cause Chum, they sure have to come. I am the girl running to her dreams.

When you find your spark, do not let it go. Hold on to it tightly like you just found your new favorite thing or person in the world.

It is beautiful to see how much has changed in the last months. It is a joy to behold what will change in the coming months.

I find expression writing about life, style, and personal development even as it relates to our day to day activities. This is coupled with the fact that words have a lasting impact on people so I ensure to use them for good.
