The language of friendship is not words, but meanings. It is an intelligence above language- Henry David Thoreau

I am stylishly unveiling this potentially- interesting and complicated mystery we all eventually get caught in called relationships. From interactions that are termed “formal” to dialogues of mundane but important things, we would go on to see that relationships actually form the backbone of our existence. And sometimes, it is staggering to see how quickly we move on without a friend or someone, who at one point in our lives, we felt we could not do without. Like you just pack your bags and leave.

Sometimes, you don’t even get the chance to pack your bags. You just leave. That’s the point. What’s in the bag? we don’t freaking know. You dang leave! Argh!

Well, I live a small life, not really small. Valuable but small. Let’s not call things grey. Talking about relationships makes me think about the little quirks and the big deals I benefit, endure, and accommodate and any verb that best describes what I get from my friends. It makes me understand the indirect responsibilities I carry on my shoulder with ease without thinking about them as responsibilities. I tell them “not to bother’’ because of course, I have their back and maybe or not they have mine too, should that be my headache? The same way they would probably think. Should that be their headache? Who has whose back and who doesn’t?

Relationships mean so much to me. They have brought out the best in me. Thinking about past events and the ones I look forward to makes me happy and it feels good to know that I’ve got friends that are like gold. For the sake of clarity, I am not writing about business relationships or the likes but pure, genuine clicks with persons who were acquaintances that have become friends.

If you ask me, the simplest idea of a relationship? Friendship. Not romance or friends with benefits. I consumed lots of content on relationships recently; on being there for one another, on exchanging oxygen and carbon dioxide with the earth, on thinking a thought and reflections of you are shadowed in the speeches of another. On a person accommodating the weird stuff and the entire package that is you; your idiosyncrasies and bizarre laughter. Your horrendous voice, missteps and every other oddity that makes you who you are.

What I have come to see, live with, and understand is that relationships would always give room for us to grow. To explore the world little by little until we are rest assured that love and people actually make the money that makes the world go round.

High thanks I owe you, excellent lovers, who carry out the world for me to new and noble depths and enlarge the meaning of all my thoughts- Ralph Waldo Emerson.

PS: I am a year older today💃

Stay Confident,

I find expression writing about life, style, and personal development even as it relates to our day to day activities. This is coupled with the fact that words have a lasting impact on people so I ensure to use them for good.
